Those little bumps..

We had a little bump (actually a ton if you add all of our mosquito bites up) in the road this first week of vacation;  Karina and I spent a morning in the Emergency Room with what turned out to be a pinhole in her eardrum which more than likely occurred on our flight over.  I am sure if you asked her, it would be more than just a bump in the road since she was the one that cried for a full night straight.  But with most bumps, good news comes and they are quickly forgotten.  Today we received that good news at the follow up appointment with an ENT.  I am not sure if Karina has quickly forgotten the pain she was in , but after many tests, she was approved to fly tomorrow.  So we are leaving on another jet plane headed to Oregon.  We can’t wait to spend time with our “Hoff” family, but it is hard saying goodbye to Uncle Mike, Pappa, and Nana.
Swimming in uncle Mike's Koi Pond-he didn't know till later!
I sign off from our Georgia leg with a few pictures of the kid’s creativity on “how to beat the heat” with our good friends from Atlanta and a video of the night symphony I would listen to every night on the back porch.

Lifetime friends!

  1. hey there! i read your post the other night and meant to comment and then got sidetracked and forgot. I am so glad that KArina's ear is better!!! that is crazy!! I guess we both know how it is to travel and have to go to the ER!!! Anyway, I hope the rest if your trip goes smoothly. It looks like you are getting some good family time in. It's crazy how long it seems like you'll be home to visit and how fast the time flies by...I guess it feels like there is never enough time. Travel safe!!! Love, m:)
