Autumn Wind...

I found myself doing a Frank Sinatra impression all day today as I sang the verse, "Autumn Wind came blowin in". (ok...so maybe my words weren't exactly right but it sounded good to me)  The Autumn winds were blowing here in Stuttgart full force.  Not only did it blow some cold air our way but it also blew our good friends, the Salinas family, straight to our house.  (click here to check out the SalinasBlog)

Since they are currently living in hot Lagos, Nigeria, they enjoyed the cool breeze that was blowing straight to our bones.  So our "bones" headed to our neighborhood Waldheim to sit outside for some warm schnitzel and cool slides.  

We live in a "fairy-tale-land " with many castles to tour, fabulous restaurants, great forest trails and the list goes on.  However, I realized as we sat outside talking late into the night, that sometimes the most pleasurable things in life are just sitting on the back porch, listening to the rain, drinking a nice red all with a best friend, no matter what country or fairy tale you are living in currently. 

Even better, the wind won't be blowing them out of town until Sunday!
