My ears are still ringing! Last year I regretted not having my camera in hand to video
the very legal fireworks show that
surprised us right outside our house.
Seems for 3 days surrounding “Silvester” (German name for New Year’s
Eve) us non-professionals are allowed to purchase rather large fireworks and
display them in arms reach of the front door.

This year, I was prepared, that is after we ate the traditional
Neujahrspretzel our friend had brought over, to document the
festivities. We had a “boom of a night” beginning
with our own show led by Jason.
Our neighbors probably were giggling over our “fireworks display” as
they showed us later in the night how to really boom in 2012.
